A fire on Jefferson Avenue in Huntington has left one family homeless and two other homes facing heavy damage. Huntington Fire Chief Jan Rader says the fire started after the homeowner was cooking grease. Rader says the kitchen quickly caught fire and wind spread the fire throughout the house. Everyone, including animals made it out of the home safely. The fire consumed one home and spread to each of the homes on the left and right of the fire. It is unknown if those homes are a total loss. Crews are now working to cut off electric and gas to the homes while they continue to put out the fire.
