A local resident was transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown by way of Harrison County EMS after nearly drowning Sunday. According to a Harrison County 911 supervisor, the unidentified individual was reportedly under the water at a residence along East Main Street in Clarksburg at the time of the emergency dispatch at 6:06 p.m. but conscious and alert during their emergency transport. The Clarksburg Fire Department also responded, but did not have to enter the water to rescue the patient, according to the supervisor.
