A nearly two-day search and rescue mission for a missing woman comes to an end with more questions than answers. A NPS spokesperson has confirmed the search from the overlook to the river was completed late Monday. The search started Monday evening, when a witness reported that a Raleigh County woman, 44, had gone over the edge. Between Sunday and Monday, the West Virginia State Police used a helicopter to look for heat signals. The Raleigh County Sheriff's Dept. used drones in the search. And the Fayette County Vertical Rescue Team used ropes to scour the cliffside by foot, but to no end. She has not been found. "We did observation from the main overlook, looking for disrupted vegetation and things like that," explained Eve West, a spokesperson for the NPS.
