Chief Mike Duyck (Ret.), President, Emergency Technical Decon

Mike Duyck retired as the Fire Chief/Chief Executive Officer of Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) in June 2019, after more than 30 years in the fire service. Chief Duyck started his firefighting career at Washington County (OR) Fire District #2, later joining the City of Lake Oswego (OR) Fire Department in 1988. He joined TVF&R in 1995 and became Fire Chief in September 2010. He has served in all ranks of emergency services as well as fleet services, human resources, logistics, emergency management, and government affairs.

Shortly after retiring from TVF&R, Chief Duyck joined Emergency Technical Decon (ETD) as their President. ETD offers state-of-the-art cleaning services never before available in North America. Their patented liquid CO2 cleaning process significantly increases the life of PPE (compared to standard water extractor cleaning) while providing complete decontamination. ETD's technology uses less energy, and requires no water, resulting in a significantly decreased ecological impact. Services provided are for fire departments and all types of public safety and healthcare services PPE. Cleaning and decontamination of those items create a safer work environment.
