Fire Service Leaders Recognized at SEAFC Annual Conference

The SEAFC held the 80th Annual Leadership conference this past weekend in Chattanooga, Tennessee. During the conference several fire service leaders were recognized for contributions to the SEAFC and the fire service. Chief Jack McElfish was selected as the first ever SEAFC Career Fire Chief of the Year. Georgia Ast State Fire Marshal Dwayne Garris waspresented withthe HD Crossnine Award for his tireless leadership and efforts within the code development process. SEAFC Chaplin Ragan Vandegriff was presented with the Presidents Award for his 25 years of service to the SEAFC as Chaplin. Georgia State Fire Marshall Alan Shuman was also presented with a Presidents Award for his leadership and contributions to the SEAFC. Chattanooga Fire Department and the Tennessee Association of Fire Chiefs were also recognized for the efforts is hosting the conference.
