One of the world’s foremost chimney experts will briefly join forces with Juneau’s fire department this weekend and next.
This Saturday and the following Saturday, Santa Claus will be riding with Capital City Fire/Rescue through the streets of Juneau. The annual event will take Santa through downtown Juneau and Douglas this Saturday, with the parade starting at 5:30 p.m. Next Saturday, Dec. 16, the truck will go through the Mendenhall Valley, also starting at 5:30 p.m.
The truck will make occasional stops along the way, allowing people to meet members of the fire department and Saint Nick himself. Candy canes will also be handed out.
