Continuing its efforts to sign formal lease agreements for various rural and community fire houses used by Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, the county Board of Commissioners has officially leased the property housing Fire Station 13 from Sutallee Fire Department Inc. “The agreement is to officially provide clarity on responsibilities and authorization to continue to provide fire suppression services from that location to the surrounding area until a new replacement station is constructed,” Cherokee Fire Chief Tim Prather said in a report to commissioners.
