Augusta: Fire claims home in Montclair Subdivision

The Augusta Fire Department responded to the scene of a structure fire around 1 a.m. Wednesday. That fire appearing to cause significant damage. This happened on the 3200 block of West Court, in the Montclair Subdivision. The fire chief tells FOX 54 that they believe no one was home at the time of the fire. Michael Meyers, the Public Information Officer for the Augusta Fire Department, says they are happy there were no injuries. “Crews were able to make sure the fire was detained just to that one home event though other homes are in close proximity, they worked very hard to get the fire out, there were no injuries." The cause of the flames is unknown at this time, but it is under investigation
