Three Toulon firefighters took part in 94th Annual Fire College hosted by The Illinois Fire Service Institute in Champaign this past week.
Brothers Drew and Devin Ford, and Adam Irving, all of Toulon, took part in the four-day classroom and hands-on training event, taught by a team of IFSI instructors and professionals.
The trio was part of nearly 400 first responders/firefighters statewide taking the classes and live fire training.
Joining the Toulon Firefighters in some of their course options were cast members from the NBC drama “Chicago Fire.”
“They were there to go through the live fires to get more experience so they are safer when they do scenes for TV,” said Drew Ford.
