A fire damaged part of a warehouse in Greensboro Friday evening. The fire was reported around 6:40 p.m. on Creek Ridge Road near Elm-Eugene Street. No one was injured.
Firefighters arrived to smoke coming from the building's roof, emergency officials said at the scene.
The fire was quickly brought under control, but about 1/3 of the building still had some damage.
Someone occupies the space where the damage occurred, but nobody was there at the time of the fire, fire officials said.
Creek Ridge Road was closed for a period of time following the fire.
