Police have identified the woman who died in a house fire Saturday morning. Jettaka M. Gammon, 56, died in a fire at her house at 3904 Dogwood Drive, said Susan Danielsen, police spokeswoman. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, fire officials said. Fire marshal Kevin Pettigrew said the agency doesn't believe the fire was intentional, but it is still under investigation. The fire department has asked the State Bureau of Investigation to assist in the investigation. "We asked the SBI to help with an accelerant K-9," Pettigrew said. "To my knowledge, the dog didn't alert on anything." He said the department is still working to eliminate possible causes for the start of the fire. Gammon was found in her bedroom, Pettigrew said. That is where she made the 911 call about 1:25 a.m., stating her house was on fire and she was trapped. Firefighters found her and pulled her out of the house, performing CPR on her at the house, according to officials. CPR was continued while she was taken to the hospital, where she died, the fire department said.
