The community stands to benefit from new life support techniques and tools in emergencies since theChapel Hill Fire Department has become certified to deliver Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Level of Service. The program has required two years of training and preparation. “I’m extremely proud of the time, effort and dedication our staff put into reaching this level of service,” said Fire Chief Matt Sullivan. “We can now provide valuable life-saving measures more quickly to our residents and visitors in need.
