An Asheville man has been charged with first-degree arson after the Asheville Fire Department determined that a high-rise fire Tuesday was deliberately set. Randy Webb Tucker, 55, is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Center in lieu of $80,000 bond. On Tuesday at about 8:45 p.m., the Asheville Fire Department responded to Aston Park Towers, 165 S. French Broad St., after reports of a structure fire. After further investigation by the Asheville-Buncombe Arson Task Force, it was determined that the cause of the fire was arson, leading the Asheville Police Department to charge Tucker.
