Leland Fire/Rescue and Leland Police Department will team up for some friendly competition from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, to see who can raise more donations for local charity organization Brunswick Family Assistance. Last year’s successful Pack the Patrol Car event is expanding in 2018 to include the Leland Fire/Rescue team, with an even more ambitious goal to Fill the Fire Truck. All non-perishable items donated to Pack the Patrol Car and Fill the Fire Truck will be given to Brunswick Family Assistance, the local non-profit organization responsible for coordinating Hurricane Florence relief efforts throughout Brunswick County. Leland Firefighters, EMS, Police and staff will be set up outside of the Leland Walmart on Friday, December 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. collecting non-perishable food items. All donations stay local to Brunswick County.
