Concord personnel received two of the highest awards given by the North Carolina Association of Fire Chiefs Midwinter Conference banquet.
The event was held on Saturday, Feb. 3 and recognizes the elite and exemplary dedication of fire service personnel in North Carolina.
Deputy Chief Todd Eury, who has served the city for 28 years, was awarded Career Fire Officer of the Year. Chief Eury was recognized for his dedication of time and passion to protect the shareholders of the City of Concord.
After 28 years, Chief Eury continues to serve his community with a focus on retention, growth and future planning of the department. He is dedicated to assuring that each station, apparatus and personnel are fully equipped with equipment and tools that meet the highest standards.
