A Statesville man was arrested in Yadkinville Sunday after investigators say he used a "Molotov cocktail" to try to burn down his step-father's home with four people inside after a family dispute.
Matthew Franklin Ward, 41, is charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count each of first-degree arson, felony conspiracy, and possession of a weapon of mass destruction (IID).
