Traffic slowed on Interstate 40 for about 30 minutes on Thursday when a car caught fire on the side of the road.
A woman was driving westbound on Interstate 40 when her car began overheating, N.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. Bobby Lineberger said.
Once the woman pulled over, the car caught fire, Lineberger said.
The incident began around 9:15 a.m., and it was resolved around 10 a.m., Lineberger said. No one was hurt, Lineberger said.
