The Fairgrove Fire Department responded to the same house twice in less than 16 hours this weekend. According to Lt. Cody Joyner with the Fairgrove Fire Department, officials responded to a fire at 8:12 p.m. Saturday at 199 Lovette Road in Thomasville. When firefighters arrived, the house had flames showing from the rear of the one-story structure. Joyner said firefighters stayed on the scene until 2 a.m. At 11:07 a.m. on Sunday, officers returned to the scene because the fire had reignited. Joyner said firefighters remained on the scene until around 3 p.m. Two adults who live in the house were not injured and there were no pets involved. The structure was severely damaged, but not totally destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
