Due to increasing fire conditions, the Douglas Forest Protective Association will increase the Industrial Fire Precaution Level to IFPL II on all private, county, state, and BLM lands in Regulated Use Area DG-2. This change will take effect Thursday, July 28 at 12:01 a.m. Industrial Fire Precaution Level II increases fire prevention measures on industrial operations using chainsaws, cable yarding, blasting, or the cutting, grinding and welding of metal. IFPL II also requires a two hour fire watch once work has completed on the job site for the day. The increase in the Industrial Fire Precaution Level does not affect or change the Public Use Fire Restrictions which went into effect July 1 on all DFPA protected land.
