Lane Fire Authority is investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a mobile home trailer early Thursday morning.
Crews responded just before 3:30 a.m. to Big Apple Automotive Center on Highway 126 in Veneta.
According to firefighters, neighbors called to report what sounded like propane tanks exploding.
Lieutenant Tressa Miller with Lane Fire Authority said the fire could have been more difficult to extinguish.
"Because it's in a car lot, where they do a lot of repairs, there's a lot of cars, so access on to the immediate property is a little bit challenging," Lt. Miller said. "Fortunately the neighboring business had a nice straight shot for our engine to make an initial attack and get the fire knocked down pretty quick.">
Responders contained the flames to the trailer, which was unoccupied.
No one was hurt.
