A Lyons man was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly punched a woman following a car crash, attacked a witness, fled the scene of the crash and punched a fire truck near Highway 22, officials said. A nearby neighbor told deputies she saw a man running through her yard away from the crash. Deputies followed her directions to a road and found two firefighters struggling with Richmond. According to the firefighters, Richmond jumped on the side of their fire truck while they were driving toward Highway 22. He started punching the truck and tried climbing through the driver's side window. When Richmond managed to pull his upper body into the truck, the driver struggled to both control the vehicle and fight him off. After driver slammed on the brakes, a firefighter jumped out of the truck and pulled Richmond off the vehicle.
