A fire east of Glide was determined to be powerline-related, Douglas Forest protective Association said.
At approximately 1 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters from DFPA and Azalea Rural Fire Department responded to a reported grass fire 8 miles east of Glendale, near Quines Creek Road.
Firefighters arrived on scene and found a fast moving grass fire that was threatening a structure.
Crews attacked the blaze and were able to stop the spread at 1/10th of an acre of grass.
No damage was reported to the structure, officials said.
Fire officials determined that the cause of the Quines Creek Fire was powerline-related.
The Quines Creek Fire serves as a good reminder that the fire danger remains high throughout the Umpqua Valley, DFPA said.
Fire officials say that forest fuels are still dry and that any new fire can still quickly spread.
