Fire crews from Lane and Linn counties are in California to help fight the raging wildfires near Ventura.
Lane County task force leader Chad Minter says they are taking five engines to help battle the fast-moving blaze.
He says they've been told to prepare for about two weeks in California.
The task force is made up of firefighters from Lane Fire Authority, South Lane Fire, McKenzie Fire and Siuslaw Fire.
Lane County Strike Teams assembled at the South Lane Fire Station on E. Harrison Ave. in Cottage Grove Tuesday.
The teams are made up of multiple agencies for response to large scale emergencies within Lane County and the State of Oregon.
