Lane County Sheriff's Office is investigating an arson and possible related break-in Tuesday morning at Eugene Pallet Enterprises in Junction City. The call came in at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday. Morning employees at Eugene Pallet Enterprises called fire authorities to report smoke along with others who reported seeing a lot of smoke in the building. Firefighters say they prepared for the worst when they saw the smoke inside a pallet company. Despite the smoky conditions, it turned out to be a rather small fire in a downstairs office area.
