Brush fire leaves one person injured in NW Portland

A brush fire started near Forest Park on Thursday left one person critically injured. Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue said they responded to a fire on 12900 Northwest Springville Road in unincorporated Multnomah County. Crews found smoke next to a barn and saw flames quickly spreading. While trying to gain access to the fire, firefighters found two people requiring treatment, according to crews. Crews said one person was Life flighted due to the severity of their injuries and the second person was treated at the scene and denied an ambulance. The fire was quickly knocked down and crews were able to contain the fire to a 100 X 50 foot area preventing it from spreading to nearby structures. Crews said the fire remains under investigation.
