NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by East Pierce Fire and Rescue at the above address until 2:00 P.M. PST on August 6, 2019 for one or more fire engines and one ladder truck. Bid packets will be available 3:00 P.M. Tuesday July 16, 2019 and may be obtained on our website www.eastpiercefire.org, at our Headquarters Station at address listed above or by contacting Assistant Chief Jim Jaques at 253-863-1800, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M, jjaques@eastpiercefire.org. Bidders are advised to carefully read the Instructions to Bidders prior to submitting their bid.
Bids shall be mailed or delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked “2019 Engine and Ladder Truck Procurement – Attention: Michelle Hollon, District Secretary.”
Bids will be opened, read, and tabulated publicly by the District Secretary at 3:00 P.M., August 6, 2019. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of the contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days.
