ODOT/DMV Traffic Safety Office EMS Training Grant

The purpose of the grant is to fund rural/frontier community hospitals and/or EMS agencies EMS training that will positively affect the treatment and outcome of traffic-related injuries. Trained and certified EMS staff are of particular importance in rural/frontier Oregon where long response times and difficult access can rapidly use up the “Golden Hour”.  EMS agencies need to have the education and skills necessary for responding to traffic crashes to provide optimum care for trauma victims.

Past grant projects with this office have included trainings such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic and Advanced Pediatric Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Training and Trauma Nurse Core Course.
