Location: Cave Junction, OR
Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
Illinois Valley Fire District formed in 1954 located along the Illinois River and near the Oregon Caves National Monument in beautiful south western Oregon provides services to 144 square miles of Josephine County from six strategically located stations. The District employs a career staff of eleven (11) which includes 4 FF/EMT’s funded by a local option levy ending in FY 21/22, The District also has a volunteer suppression and support staff of approximately 35 members.
Illinois Valley is a must-see area with beautiful timbered mountains, rivers, offering many outdoor recreational activities including camping, hunting, fishing, rafting, and hiking. The Southern Oregon/Northern California coast also adds to the area’s beauty and opportunities.
