Lateral Firefighter/Medic

The City of Salem is accepting applications for the position of Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic. This recruitment will be used to fill the fourteen (14) current vacancies as well as establish an eligibility list for future hires.

 The Salem Fire Department is seeking self-motivated, professional Firefighter/Paramedics to become a part of our organization.  A minimum of three (3) consecutive years of experience as a full-time, paid Firefighter / Paramedic with an agency whose primary responsibility is fire protection, emergency medical services required to apply. (Volunteer, sleeper/resident, paid-on-call, or seasonal does not apply to Lateral Firefighter Recruitment). Posted pay rate includes 9%    EMT-P additional premium pay per hour.
