COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSSalary: $152,141.28 - $167,355.40 annual
Hours: The standard work schedule is four days per week from 0700 - 1800. The regular work days for Division Chiefs are set by the Fire Chief or designee. Alternative work schedules may be worked at the discretion of the Fire Chief or designee.
Vacation: Accumulation rate increases with length of service, starting at 11.32 hours per month.
Sick Leave: Accumulation at the rate of 24 hours per month indefinitely during tenure of Career.
Administrative Leave: Accumulation at the rate of 8.66 hours per month.
Holidays: Accumulation of 4 general PTO hours for holidays per month.
Insurance: The District provides 100% paid health, dental and vision insurance for employees and qualified dependents.
Retirement: 2.7% at 57 for new members of CALPERS with employee contributions of 13.75% to PEPRA, or 3% at 55 for those with former CALPERS qualified employment with a break-in service less than six months with employee contributions of 9%.
The District has contracted with CalPERS for additional retirement benefits, including a 2% COLA and sick leave service credit for both Classic and New Members. The full itemization of additional retirement benefits for Classic and New Members is set forth in the District’s con-tract with CalPERS.
