The Assistant Fire Chief is a supervisory position, assisting the Fire Chief with directing the operations within the SMFPD. The Assistant Fire Chief must possess excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to communicate and work with other district members, local government representatives and the public. The position requires a well-trained individual with working knowledge of modern fire suppression/prevention.
