Firefighter Description
Under general supervision, participates in emergency fire suppression, emergency medical care, fire prevention and investigation activities, and other activities that support the protection of life and property; assists in the maintenance and care of all stations, apparatus and equipment; participates in training exercises and study of firefighting techniques; learns to drive and operate fire apparatus and other vehicles in response to fire, rescue, hazardous materials and emergency calls; learns to maintain apparatus and equipment in a state of readiness; participates in public education programs related to fire prevention and safety; maintains hydrants and hoses; demonstrates a full understanding of all applicable policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties; performs related duties as assigned.

Fire Engineer Description
Under general supervision, drives and operates fire apparatus and other vehicles in response to fire, rescue, hazardous materials and emergency calls; assists in the suppression of fires and the protection of life and property; maintains apparatus and equipment in a state of readiness; participates in public education programs related to fire prevention and safety; maintains hydrants and hoses; demonstrates a full understanding of all applicable policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties; assists in the training of lower level positions; performs related duties as assigned.

Fire Captain Description
Under direction, plans, directs, coordinates and supervises daily Fire Department operations of assigned crew as Engine Company Officer; to supervise firefighters during non-emergency, as well as firefighting, emergency medical, hazardous materials response, rescue, fire prevention and inspection, fire investigation, and other emergency operations; ensures that all assigned activities are carried out effectively, efficiently, safely, and according to district guidelines and policies; oversees subordinate personnel engaged in training, station and equipment maintenance; assists and participates in training programs; drives, operates and maintains all fire apparatus and equipment as needed. Performs related work and other duties as required.
