VIDEO: Firefighters protected nearby buildings from flames that tore through an auto parts storage center early Tuesday in Cypress Park.
Over 100 firefighters were battling the fire in the community north of downtown Los Angeles.
Crews responded to the 1000 block of N. San Fernando Road at about 4 a.m. and reported fire coming out of the roof of the one-story building with dense interior storage, said Brian Humphrey with the Los Angeles Fire Department. The area is blocked off. No injuries have been reported.

Shortly after 6 a.m., firefighters reported that the fire was contained within the structure, but was not yet fully extinguished, Humphrey said.
San Fernando Road was closed in the area as a precaution.
