VIDEO: Firefighters were called to a fire Thursday evening at the Meredith Marina and Boating Center. Meredith police dispatch confirmed that a building was fully involved in flames. Witnesses said they heard and felt an explosion. Thick smoke could be seen coming from the area of the marina. "There was a loud explosion. Seconds later there were flames shooting in the air," Dan Robusto from Meredith said. "As we watched the flames started to go higher and higher and I couldn't believe how high the flames were shooting. And then we heard another explosion." Meredith's fire Chief Ken Jones said when crews arrived they worked to contain the flames to a 50 by 50-foot structure. "We were able to contain the fire to the service building which burnt and is a total loss," Jones said.
