VIDEO: All lanes of Highway 41 at Minter Road are open again after being closed for hours by a crash involving a Spalding County fire engine and a utility truck Thursday afternoon, according to the Georgia Department of Public Safety. The crash occurred at 1:55 p.m. on Highway 41 northbound just south of Minter Road, the department said. Northbound lanes and one southbound lane were closed for around four hours before being reopened at 5:50 p.m. The department said a Spalding County fire engine was parked in the left lane of Highway 41 northbound Thursday afternoon with its lights activated while the crew was responding to a crash in the south lanes. A bucket truck traveling north in the left lane crashed into the back of the fire engine and overturned, trapping the driver in the truck, the department said.
