New helmet camera footage obtained by FOX 25 shows a closer look at the battle firefighters had to face during a deadly apartment complex fire October 20 in northwest Oklahoma City.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, crews responded to a three alarm fire at the Penn Station apartment complex around 7pm that Friday, seeing smoke billowing from the building miles away. The helmet camera footage showing firefighters spraying water into a unit on the second floor trying to put the fire out, to then actually going into the burning building.
The footage also showed a firefighter searching an apartment for anyone inside, to then eventually appearing to show firefighters pulling someone from the rubble. Kristina Allen was among two who were killed from the fire, and officials said a total of 16 people were displaced from the fire.
