PHOTOS: A massive 2-alarm fire destroyed a commercial building in a matter of minutes in Downtown San Antonio near the Bexar County Pretrial Services building. The fire started just before 7 a.m. Wednesday at a huge commercial building off Buena Vista Street near South Comal Street.
Aerial footage shows the building fully engulfed in flames with the roof and several walls collapsing. Officials said huge building was mostly empty, but one small business, Cool King, was operating in the facility. One worker was inside the building at the time the fire started, but did make it out safely.
Crews used several ladder trucks to battle this massive fire that completely engulfed this large building. After about 30 minutes, firefighters were able to get the blaze under control. Several cars that were parked near the building were destroyed as well.
