We have been running ads for Fire Chief, or the second in command position for the last 10 years through another venue. Recently placed one in the Daily Dispatch and found that more than 60% of the candidates heard of the job through the Dispatch. Will definitely advertise with the Daily Dispatch for future positions.

The Daily Dispatch ad we ran for the Caldwell Fire Prevention Officer (FPO) position (that closed on Friday) yielded some excellent candidates. We had ten applicants from within Idaho and five from outside the state, including one from the Marshall Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! Last time we only had a handful of applicants without the Daily Dispatch. It goes to show you, advertising on the Daily Dispatch really yields results!
