A two-vehicle collision on the Seward Highway near Potter Marsh Friday morning left one man dead and others injured. On Saturday, Anchorage police identified the man killed as 72-year-old Morris Parrish. Anchorage Police Department spokesman MJ Thim said the crash, in front of the Rabbit Creek Rifle Range near the Potter Marsh boardwalk, was reported at 10:45 a.m. “It appears to be a T-bone collision involving a pickup and an SUV,” Thim said. “There was only one person in the SUV, an adult male driver; he was declared dead at the scene.” Multiple people in the pickup truck were being treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. Thim said the Seward’s northbound lanes and one of its southbound lanes were closed as police responded to the crash.
