Capital City Fire Rescue Chief provides update on arson fire

The arson caused fire at the building housing J and J Deli and The Gym the morning of April 22 remains under investigation. Capital City Fire Rescue Chief Rich Etheridge provided an update on Action Line. He said his Fire Marshal office is working with Juneau Police to try to identify the suspect responsible for setting the fire in the storage area under the stairs there. He said there's video footage of the person entering the area and the fire starting afterward. The video also captures the suspect fleeing the area. The chief said they're still working on a description of the subject to get out to the public. Witnesses and anyone with video of the incident are asked to come forward. No one was injured in the incident.
