VIDEO: While it might seem peaceful Thursday, that was not the case a couple of days ago as a moose was stuck in a lake. It all started with one frantic phone call.
"I got a call from my mom kind of in a panic, saying, I think a moose fell through the lake," Joseph Lorenzen, a rescuer, said.
And Lorenzen immediately went into action, asking for help from his friends.
"You know, Joe pulled up with his, you know, in his truck and says, 'I just got off the phone with my mom and who wants to go rescue Moose?' And I was like, 'I'll get the straps,'" Tim Nardini, a rescuer, said. After gathering all his help, the four men set off to rescue the moose.
'Had the trench through the snow, probably about five or 600 yards. And came across, obviously, where the moose had fallen in the in the lake, poked the couple ropes all together and and lassoed her up and pulled her out,' Lorenzen said.
