Heartbreak for many people in the Mobile area Friday.
They have seen their memories go up in flames.
A stubborn fire at a storage facility on Old Pascagoula Road started right before 10:00 Thursday night, and burned into the early afternoon.
And while firefighters fought the blaze, people who kept items in storage there came to the scene wondering if they could salvage anything.
78 year old Matilde Wilson and her son, Ben, came to the scene early Friday afternoon to try to check on prized possessions she kept in storage.
Matilde Wilson said, "I had too much stuff over there, my Christmas things, dishes. I don't know how i'm going to replace all that."
Ben Ellison says his mother didn't have insurance.
