Four apartment units on Narrow Lane Road were damaged Thursday after a fire engulfed the homes.
Montgomery fire Capt. Jason Cupps said when crews arrived at the Narrow Lane Villas Apartments heavy smoke and flames were visible from four of the town-home style apartments.
A second round of firefighters were called in to assist with combating the inferno, elevating it to a two-alarm fire, Cupps said. The apartments, badly damaged, sustained heavy smoke damage throughout the first and second floors of each home.
All residents were evacuated without injury, though, a firefighter reported minor burns and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
