Crews with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department were battling a house fire on Frederick Street Saturday afternoon. About 2:30 p.m., MFRD tweeted that, "Heavy flames and smoke visible in the 2900 block of Frederick Street. Units on scene attacking." MFRD subsequently reported that the fire at the single-story home was extinguished. No injuries were reported.
