Houston County Rescue President says they are ready if a water rescue is needed

Water rescue units around the state of Alabama have been busy with flash flooding watches and warnings being spread throughout the state. Here in the Wiregrass there hasn’t been have any flooding events where water rescue was needed, but Houston County Rescue would have been ready if the situation presented itself. “Our expertise is water rescue or water-related incidents that require recovery,” President of Houston County Rescue, Chris Ball said. “We have 24 members on our team. We train regularly for all different scenarios.” Houston County Rescue works with Emergency Management or EMA, where they use the different notifications and situations to prepare themselves if they are called to a scene.
