The deadly house fire in Dale County early Sunday morning is still an active investigation. The house fire killed one man and sent a mother and son to the hospital. The mother was released from Flowers Hospital on Sunday, and the son was released Monday from the UAB Trauma Burn Intensive Care Unit (TBICU). Both mother and son are currently recovering at a family member’s home. At this time, officials are still not sure of the cause of the fire. The fire started early Sunday morning on the 100 block of Friar Road in the Canterbury Farms subdivision in Grimes.
