VIDEO: The United Yuma Firefighter Association held their 2nd annual Fire Muster Saturday.
The "Fire Muster" is an event where 10 teams comprised of a mix of firefighters, first responders, and nurses competing in a series of task and exercises that connects competitors to the roots of firefighting.
David Padilla, Membership Services Director for UYFA said, "So everything from a hose cart where we use to have to pull our own hose on a cart to the fire before operational vehicles and trucks. And then also we have an event like a bucket brigade. You simulate putting over a fire using buckets. "
The event started at 9 A.M. and lasted till 4 P.M. Padilla said it allowed the public to see a different side of first responders.
