One firefighter has sustained an injury after the Tucson Fire Department, Tucson Police, and Northwest Fire responded to a trench rescue near Stone and River.
We reached out to TFD about the condition of the victim and are waiting for a response.
The TFD received the call of a person trapped in a trench collapse, Tuesday afternoon.
During rescue operations, one firefighter was injured and transported with non-life threatening injuries, according to the TFD.
Another firefighter was also treated at the hospital for other medical related issues. Both are expected to make a full recovery.
