A child has been taken to the hospital in critical condition after a possible drowning call, according to fire officials. A spokesperson for the Buckeye Valley Fire District told ABC15 that paramedics responded to a report of a possible drowning call on Wednesday afternoon near Old Highway 80 and 339th Avenue, which is southwest of Buckeye. An 18-month-child was flown to Phoenix Children's in critical condition, the spokesperson said. It's unclear if the child was in a pool or somewhere else in the home at the time of the call. No additional information was immediately available.
