Golder Ranch Fire District Division Chief Scott Robb has performed music both on and off duty for years, but now he’s taking his songs a step further. His latest release, “Thank God for the Lake” serves as a musical escape during pandemic time, and all sales of the single will raise funds for the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona.
The song is a ballad for summer days, inspired by carefree times at local watering holes. The country-rock song was recorded in Tucson and features six local musicians on fiddle, drums, steel guitar and more. Robb performed vocals and rhythm guitar for the track, which is currently available on his website.
“One of the reasons we picked the Drowning Coalition of Southern Arizona, is since people have less discretionary income during these uncertain times, we don’t want things like swim lessons to be missed,” Robb said.
